“Polish guitarist Szymon Mika brings together a remarkable international lineup – with Korean vocalist Song Yi Jeon, Slovakian trumpeter Oskar Török, Polish bassist Andrzej Święs, and Hungarian drummer Peter Somos. All compositions are Mika’s originals, blending clean-toned guitar work with moments of distortion and delicate acoustic textures. The standout presence of Song Yi Jeon, known for her masterful scat singing, adds a deep emotional layer to the sound. Highlights include the voice-guitar interplay on track 4 reminiscent of Rosenwinkel’s harmonic world. A thoughtful, richly textured album worth diving into.”
